Q. What is Poynt?
A.

Poynt is a convenient and timesaving tool that connects you to local businesses and theaters at the moment you want to buy or acquire products or services. Find addresses and phone numbers, view websites, see movie show times, reviews and trailers, and get directions. The all-in-one search tool is available for BlackBerry® smartphones.
Q. Where can I download Poynt?
A.

Download it OTA at http://m.mypoynt.com from your BlackBerry® Browser.
Q. Why am I receiving a 503 error when I attempt to download Poynt?
A.

You may be on a WAP or Enterprise (BES) browser that is blocking the gateway. Switch to a BIS browser by opening your browser, going to Options, select General Properties and change the default browser to BlackBerry Internet Browser.
Q. Why can’t I receive a GPS signal?
A.

There are a number of of reasons why your device may not be receiving a GPS signal:

  1. GPS relies on line-of-sight communications with satellites and may be unreliable/intermittent when indoors. If you are indoors, standing near a window can greatly improve connectivity. Under conditions of limited connectivity this can take up to three minutes.
  2. Certain carriers restrict access to the GPS on their network by third party applications. Please check with your wireless carrier.
