Poynt for BlackBerry Curve 8900 and BlackBerry Pearl Flip Unveiled at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas January 9, 2009-Multiplied Media is pleased to announce the availability of the latest version of its marquee product, Poynt, for the recently released BlackBerry(R) Curve 8900 and BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphones. RIM (Research in Motion) invited Multiplied Media to participate as one of its featured partners at the BlackBerry booth at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8 – 11, where the latest version of the application will be unveiled. CES is the largest show of its kind in the world, and attracts over 140,000 attendees annually, bringing Multiplied’s Poynt service to the always-on audience to whom mobile search services and multimedia functionality most appeal. The newest Poynt release takes advantage of the built-in media player on the devices, enabling users to watch movie trailers prior to completing the ticket purchase transaction, also available on Poynt. “Our mobile user count is growing rapidly. We’ve seen an increase of 12,000 new BlackBerry users in one month, putting us at more than 37,000,” said Andrew Osis, CEO, Multiplied Media. “Our development team has been working tirelessly to ready the Poynt application for the new BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Flip, which we expect to contribute to a continued increase in our user numbers.
